At this year's CIIE, international logistics giant DHL Express vividly demonstrated the future of the logistics industry through a series of automation technologies, intelligent devices, and green logistics solutions, demonstrating its firm commitment to innovation driven development, green led change, and "new quality productivity" to promote the transformation and upgrading of the logistics industry.
In DHL Express's view, sustainability is not only the cornerstone of future business, but also an inevitable requirement for the green connotation of "new quality productivity".
DHL Express showcased and introduced its systematic initiatives in promoting the procurement and use of sustainable aviation fuels at the exhibition booth. In recent years, DHL has reached strategic partnerships with BP and Neste to purchase up to 800 million liters of sustainable aviation fuel, and has partnered with World Energy Corporation, which will provide up to 668 million liters of sustainable aviation fuel.
Based on this, DHL Express has also launched the "GoGreen Plus" service, providing customers with a "green shipping" option and promoting "Scope 3" emissions reduction through the use of sustainable aviation fuels in a "carbon embedded" manner. This service has been widely praised in the Chinese market. As of September this year, more than half of DHL Express's customer enterprises in China have used this service, which is widely distributed in the manufacturing industry and wholesale and retail trade channels. Among them, enterprises in industries such as semiconductor electronic component manufacturing, clothing and textile, e-commerce, electrical equipment and component manufacturing are particularly prominent.
